    Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

     

    This dish is a mix of succulent beef slices draped in a tantalizing Mongolian sauce, all effortlessly prepared in your slow cooker. It’s simple yet bursting with flavor, perfect for a family dinner on a busy weeknight.

     

    I remember a winter when I was swamped with work and life’s demands. I barely had time to cook, but then I came across this Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef recipe.

     

    I decided to give it a whirl. Coming home to its inviting aroma was pure bliss. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce struck the right balance between sweet and savory.     Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef Recipe

     

    Ingredients:

     

    1.5 pounds thinly sliced flank steak, coated with 1/4 cup cornstarch

    1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

     

     

    1 teaspoon chopped garlic

    1 teaspoon chopped ginger

    1/3 cup brown sugar

    1/2 cup soy sauce

    1/2 cup water

    Optional: 1/2 cup sliced green onions or as a garnish

    Instructions:

     

    Place cornstarch-coated flank steak, toasted sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in the slow cooker.

     

     

    In another bowl, whisk the soy sauce, brown sugar, and water.
    Drizzle this mix over the beef, ensuring it’s well coated
    Cover and set your slow cooker: low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours, till the beef is soft.

     

     

    Optionally, mix in the green onions 30 minutes before it’s done. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with more green onions if you like. Relish!
