Looking for the best butter pecan cookies that are soft, chewy, and packed with nutty flavor? These homemade butter pecan cookies are loaded with toasted pecans, rich brown sugar, and buttery goodness—perfect for holiday baking, cookie swaps, or anytime sweet cravings hit!

    Ingredients:

    1 cup unsalted butter, softened

    1 cup brown sugar, packed

    1/2 cup granulated sugar

    1 large egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

    2. Cream Butter & Sugars:
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.

    3. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry mix to the butter mixture, stirring just until combined.

    4. Fold in Toasted Pecans:
Gently fold in the toasted chopped pecans for that irresistible crunch and nutty flavor.

    5. Shape the Cookies:
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

    6. Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set. Allow to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

    7. Enjoy!
Serve your delicious chewy butter pecan cookies with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee!

    Perfect for:

butterpecancookies, holidaybaking, homemadecookies, easycookierecipe, chewycookies, pecandessert, fallbaking, cookieexchange, brownsugarcookies, bakingfromscratch
