    • Great for meal prep – Leftovers reheat easily for quick lunches.
    • One-pot cleanup – Everything cooks directly in the slow cooker.

    Ingredients

    • 16 oz (1 pound) dry elbow macaroni
    • 24–26 oz pizza sauce or thick marinara sauce
    • 3 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese, divided
    • 6 oz sliced pepperoni, divided
    • About 1/2 jar of water

How to Make Slow Cooker Pepperoni Macaroni

    1. Prepare the Slow Cooker

Lightly coat a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to help prevent sticking.

    2. Add the Pasta and Sauce

Add the dry elbow macaroni directly to the slow cooker. Pour in the pizza sauce, then add about half a jar of water. Stir thoroughly until the macaroni is coated and mostly submerged.

    3. Add Cheese and Pepperoni

Stir in 2 cups of mozzarella cheese and approximately half of the pepperoni slices. Spread everything into an even layer.

    4. Slow Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until the macaroni is tender.

At about 1 1/2 hours, quickly stir the pasta and scrape the bottom gently to prevent sticking.

    5. Add the Pizza Topping

Once the pasta is tender and bubbling, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the top. Arrange the remaining pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.

Cover and cook for another 15–25 minutes, until the mozzarella is completely melted and bubbly.

    6. Rest and Serve

Turn off the slow cooker and let the pasta rest uncovered for 5–10 minutes. This allows the sauce to thicken slightly.

Serve hot with a simple green salad, garlic bread, or your favorite pizza-night sides.

    Recipe Tips

Choose different pasta shapes: Elbow macaroni works beautifully, but rotini, shells, or penne can also be used.

Make it lighter: Substitute turkey pepperoni for traditional pepperoni.

Add more spice: Use a spicy pizza sauce or arrabbiata-style marinara.

Get crispy pepperoni: Transfer the finished pasta to an oven-safe dish and broil for 2–3 minutes, watching carefully.

Make it extra cheesy: Reserve more mozzarella for the top for an especially gooey cheese layer.

    Storage and Reheating

Store leftover pepperoni macaroni in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.

To reheat, microwave individual portions until steaming hot. Add a small splash of water or extra sauce if the pasta has thickened. A little extra mozzarella on top makes leftovers taste even better.
