    Ingredients

    • 3 to 4 pounds chicken drumsticks (about 10–12 pieces)
    • 1 cup barbecue sauce
    • 1/2 cup honey
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

    Directions

    1. Place the raw chicken drumsticks in the bottom of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Arrange them in a mostly even layer for the best cooking results.
    2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, honey, and soy sauce until smooth and fully combined.
    3. Pour the honey BBQ sauce evenly over the chicken drumsticks, making sure the chicken is coated well.
    4. Cover and cook:
      • LOW for 5 to 6 hours
      • HIGH for 2 1/2 to 3 hours

      The chicken should be tender and cooked through.

    5. For a thicker, stickier sauce, remove the lid during the last 15–20 minutes and cook on HIGH.
    6. Optional: Transfer the cooked drumsticks to a foil-lined baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes for crispy, caramelized skin.
    7. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, green beans, dinner rolls, or salad.
