    Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken Recipe

    Ingredients:

    4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or chicken breasts)

    4 cloves garlic, minced

    ⅓ cup brown sugar (or use honey for a refined sugar-free option)

    2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

    1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

    1 tsp smoked paprika (optional, adds smoky depth)

    ½ tsp black pepper

    ½ tsp salt

    ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

    1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

    1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for optional thickening)

    Chopped parsley & sesame seeds for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Add Chicken to Crockpot:
    Place chicken in the bottom of your slow cooker. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

    2. Mix the Garlic Sauce:
    In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar (or honey), minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the chicken.

    3. Cook Low and Slow:

    Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours

    Or on HIGH for 3–4 hours
    Chicken will become fall-apart tender and juicy.

    4. Thicken the Sauce (Optional):
    Remove chicken and keep warm. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce in the slow cooker. Cook on high for 5–10 minutes until thickened.

    5. Finish & Serve:
    Return chicken to the sauce, coat well, and garnish with parsley and sesame seeds. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed veggies for a complete meal!

    Chef’s Tips:

    For juicy and flavorful chicken, thighs work best.

    Add ½ tsp of liquid smoke for a delicious smoky flavor twist.
