Tips for the Perfect Sesame-Crusted Fish
1. Dry the fish well.
Removing excess moisture helps the sesame coating become beautifully crispy.
2. Don’t use very high heat.
Sesame seeds can burn quickly. Medium heat gives you a golden crust while allowing the fish to cook properly.
3. Press the sesame coating firmly.
This helps prevent the crust from falling off when you flip the fish.
4. Don’t overcook the sea bass.
The fish is ready when it flakes easily and reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F / 63°C.
5. For an oven version:
Bake the coated fillets at 425°F / 220°C for approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on thickness.
