    Seafood Delight Casserole

    INGREDIENTS
    – 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
    – 1 lb crabmeat, fresh or canned
    – 1 cup diced celery
    – 1/2 cup diced onion
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 2 tbsp butter
    – 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
    – 1 cup milk
    – 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    – 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
    – 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
    – Salt and pepper, to taste
    – Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

     

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shrimp, crabmeat, celery, onion, and garlic.
    3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in milk until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
    4. Stir in mayonnaise and cheddar cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
    5. Fold the seafood mixture into the sauce until well combined. Transfer to a baking dish.
    6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
    7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
    8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy this delightful seafood casserole!
