This Next-Level Steak Sandwich is a gourmet twist on the classic, featuring tender ribeye or sirloin steak, caramelized onions, and sweet red bell peppers. Layered on a toasted baguette or ciabatta roll and topped with creamy blue cheese or goat cheese, it’s a perfect combination of rich flavors. The addition of fresh arugula or spinach adds a crisp, refreshing bite. Drizzled with balsamic vinegar, this hearty sandwich is a quick and satisfying meal for steak lovers. Customize it with extra cheese or a spicy kick for an unforgettable lunch!

    Ingredients:

1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), thinly sliced

1 large baguette or 4 ciabatta rolls

    1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

    1/2 cup arugula or spinach

1/2 cup blue cheese or goat cheese, crumbled

    2 tbsp olive oil

    2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions:

    1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and red bell pepper, cooking until soft and caramelized.

    2. In another skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over high heat. Add the thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side. Season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.

    3. Slice the baguette or ciabatta rolls and toast them lightly.

    4. Spread crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese on the bread.

    5. Layer the cooked steak slices, caramelized onions, and red bell peppers on the bread.

    6. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, then top with fresh arugula or spinach for a touch of greenery.

    7. Close the sandwich, press lightly, and slice in half if using a baguette.

    Optional:

For an extra cheesy boost, add a slice of provolone or cheddar.

Craving a spicy kick? Add some jalapeño slices or a dash of hot sauce.
