    Ingredients:

    1 pound lean ground beef

    10 ounces udon noodles

4 cloves garlic, minced (about 4 teaspoons)

    ½ cup soy sauce

    ¼ cup brown sugar

    ¼ cup beef broth

    2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

2 teaspoons ginger paste or grated ginger

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

    2 tablespoons corn starch

    ¼ cup water

    Instructions:

    1. Cook udon noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.

    2. In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until mostly browned. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Drain any excess fat.

    3. While the beef cooks, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, ginger paste, and red pepper flakes (optional).

    4. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and continue cooking until the beef is fully cooked in the sauce. Add the noodles to the pan and toss to coat.

    5. Whisk corn starch and water together, then pour over the skillet. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

    6. Remove from heat and serve the Mongolian beef noodles hot!
