If you’re craving bold flavors, this Italian noodle recipe is the ultimate comfort food with a kick! Also known as Frà Diavolo Pasta, this spicy dish combines hearty Italian sausage, colorful bell peppers, and aromatic garlic, all simmered in a rich tomato sauce.

Whether you’re planning a cozy dinner for two or entertaining guests, this easy Italian dinner recipe is a crowd-pleaser! Serve it solo or with a crisp green salad and crusty garlic bread for the perfect pasta night.

    Spicy Italian Noodles Recipe

    Ingredients:

    12 oz wide egg noodles

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)

1.5 cups bell peppers (mix red, yellow, and green for color)

    1/4 cup thinly sliced onion

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust for heat level)

    2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juices)

    Salt and pepper to taste

    1/2 tbsp olive oil

    Instructions:

    1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

    2. In the same skillet, sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.

    3. Add diced tomatoes with juice, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes until it thickens.

    4. Return sausage to the skillet and stir in fresh parsley. Let simmer an additional 5 minutes.

    5. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and add to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly.

    6. Serve hot with extra parsley on top, and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Spicy Pasta:

Add more crushed red pepper if you love spicy pasta recipes.

Swap sausage for ground beef or plant-based crumbles for variety.
