    French Onion Beef Sloppy Joe

Craving an easy dinner packed with bold flavor? These French Onion Sloppy Joes combine juicy ground beef, caramelized onions, and melty Swiss cheese for a savory sandwich twist that’s perfect for busy weeknights or weekend indulgence!

Ingredients for French Onion Beef Sloppy Joes:

    1 pound ground beef

    1 large onion, thinly sliced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    1 teaspoon soy sauce

    1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and black pepper, to taste

    4 hamburger buns

    1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

    2. Add sliced onions and sauté for 10–12 minutes until deep golden and caramelized. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes.

    3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

    4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

    5. Meanwhile, preheat your broiler and lightly toast hamburger buns until golden brown.

    6. Pile the hot beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Top generously with Swiss cheese and broil for 1–2 minutes until melted and bubbly.

    7. Garnish with chopped parsley, cap with the bun tops, and serve hot!
