    Get ready to spice up your taco night with these Crispy Bang Bang Chicken Tacos! Packed with tender fried chicken, a creamy sweet-and-spicy bang bang sauce, and fresh toppings, this easy weeknight dinner is sure to be a crowd favorite. Perfect for fans of spicy chicken, flavorful street tacos, and homemade comfort food!

    Ingredients:

    For the Crispy Fried Chicken:

    2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks

    1 cup buttermilk

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for extra crunch)

    1 tsp paprika

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    1/2 tsp salt

    1/4 tsp black pepper

    Vegetable oil (for deep frying)

    For the Homemade Bang Bang Sauce:

    1/2 cup mayonnaise

    2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

    1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust for desired heat)

    1 tbsp honey

    1 tsp rice vinegar or fresh lime juice

    For Assembly:

    6 small flour tortillas, lightly toasted or warmed

    1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

    1/2 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage (adds a refreshing crunch)

    Lime wedges for serving

     

    Instructions:

    Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

    Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours) to tenderize and add flavor.

    Step 2: Prepare the Coating

    In a bowl, mix together the flour, panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

    Step 3: Fry the Chicken

    Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Remove chicken from buttermilk, coat in the flour-panko mixture, and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3–4 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.

    Step 4: Make the Bang Bang Sauce

    In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar or lime juice. Stir until smooth and creamy.

    Step 5: Assemble the Tacos

    Fill each tortilla with crispy chicken, drizzle with bang bang sauce, and top with fresh cilantro and shredded lettuce or cabbage.

    Step 6: Serve

    Serve warm with lime wedges on the side for a zesty, fresh finish.
