    This slow cooker cheesy hash brown casserole is an easy, comforting side dish made with frozen hash brown patties, sharp cheddar cheese, creamy soup, sour cream, and butter.     5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until the potatoes are tender and the casserole is hot throughout.
    6. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese over the top. If your slow cooker insert is oven-safe, place it under the broiler for 2 to 4 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
    7. Let the cheesy hash brown casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. This helps it set and makes it easier to scoop into neat portions.
