    Mouthwatering Beef and Cheese Chimichangas Recipe

    Looking for a delicious and easy-to-make Mexican dish that’s perfect for any night of the week? Try this Beef and Cheese Chimichangas recipe! These crispy, golden-fried tortillas are stuffed with a flavorful mixture of seasoned ground beef, onions, garlic, and melted cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Serve them hot with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for a complete meal that will delight your taste buds.

    Ingredients:
    – 6 large flour tortillas
    – 1 lb ground beef
    – 1 onion, finely chopped
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 1 teaspoon cumin
    – 1 teaspoon chili powder
    – 1/2 teaspoon salt
    – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    – 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    – 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
    – Vegetable oil, for frying
    – Salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, for serving

     

    Directions:
    1. Prepare the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
    2. Season the Beef: Stir in cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes.
    3. Mix in the Cheese: Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Then mix in the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses.
    4. Assemble the Chimichangas: Spoon about 1/6 of the beef and cheese mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll up from the bottom to enclose the filling completely.
    5. Fry the Chimichangas: Heat a large amount of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chimichangas until golden brown on all sides, turning as needed. Drain on paper towels.
    6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole on the side.
