    Enjoy tender seared cod complemented by a savory tomato basil sauce in this easy-to-make recipe.

    Perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner.

     

     

    Seared Cod with Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe.

    Ingredients:

    – 4 cod fillets (6 ounces each)
    – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, for dusting
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – 1 small onion, finely chopped
    – 3 garlic cloves, minced
    – 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
    – 1/2 cup vegetable broth
    – 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
    – Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    Instructions:

    1. Season cod fillets with salt and pepper; lightly dust with flour.

    2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear cod fillets until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

    3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.

    4. Add cherry tomatoes; cook until softened.

    5. Pour in vegetable broth, simmer until reduced by half.

    6. Return cod to skillet, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.

    7. Sprinkle with fresh basil before serving.

    Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes
