    Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese

    Looking for the ultimate comfort food dinner recipe? This Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf is juicy, flavorful, and topped with gooey melted Swiss cheese. Made with ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, and garlic, this slow cooker recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family meals.

     

    Ingredients:

    1.5 lbs ground beef

    1 cup French onion soup (divided)

    1/2 cup breadcrumbs

    1 egg

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    Salt and black pepper, to taste

    4 slices Swiss cheese

    1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra richness)

     

    Instructions:

    1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, half the French onion soup, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

    2. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in your crockpot (slow cooker).

    3. Pour the remaining French onion soup over the meatloaf.

    4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until fully cooked and tender.

    5. In the last 10–15 minutes, place Swiss cheese slices on top to melt.

    6. Serve hot, topped with melted cheese and a drizzle of the flavorful onion broth.

     

    Recipe Tips & Serving Ideas:

    Pair with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or buttered noodles for a hearty dinner.

    Add caramelized onions on top for extra flavor.
