Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Skillet Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast (sliced thin)
2 cups fresh mushrooms (sliced)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp olive oil or unsalted butter
½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
¾ cup heavy cream
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced chicken breast and cook until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions, garlic, and mushrooms until soft and fragrant.
3. Pour in the chicken broth and let simmer for 2–3 minutes to deglaze the pan.
4. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer until creamy and slightly thickened.
5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy mushroom sauce. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh parsley.
