    Creamy Asiago Mustard Chicken and Mushroom Skillet Recipe

     

     

    This Creamy Asiago Mustard Chicken and Mushroom Skillet is a rich, comforting dish that’s perfect for weeknights. With tender chicken, savory mushrooms, and a velvety Asiago cheese sauce, it’s packed with flavor in every bite. The Dijon mustard adds a subtle tang that pairs beautifully with the creaminess.     Ingredients:

    1 lb (450g) chicken breast, thinly sliced

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    1 tbsp olive oil

    2 tbsp butter

    2 cups mushrooms, sliced

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 cup heavy cream

    1/2 cup Asiago cheese, grated

    1 tbsp Dijon mustard

    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Chicken: Season the thinly sliced chicken breast with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and fully cooked. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.

    2. Sauté the Mushrooms and Garlic: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add sliced mushrooms, cooking until they’re golden brown and tender. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.

    3. Make the Creamy Asiago Mustard Sauce: Pour in heavy cream, stirring as it heats up. Add grated Asiago cheese and Dijon mustard, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is rich and smooth.

    4. Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce. Let it simmer briefly to blend flavors and heat through.

    5. Serve and Garnish: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes for a hearty, delicious meal.
