Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef or ground turkey (for a flavorful base)
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
1 cup water
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of heat)
1 lb spaghetti (classic Italian favorite)
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet, cook the ground meat with onion and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat if needed for a leaner sauce.
2. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir everything together to create a rich, thick sauce.

4. While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain well and set aside.
