    Ultimate Hobo Casserole Recipe: Rustic Campfire Beef & Potato Delight

     

    Ultimate Hobo Casserole Recipe: Rustic Campfire Beef & Potato Delight

    Ingredients:
    – 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
    – 1 Small Yellow Onion, diced
    – 4 Medium Russet Potatoes, peeled and sliced
    – 8 oz Cheddar Cheese, grated
    – 1 10 oz Can Cream of Chicken Soup
    – 1 10 oz Can Cream of Potato Soup
    – 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
    – ¼ Cup Milk

     

     

    – 1 teaspoon Creole Seasoning
    – ⅓ Cup Crispy French Fried Onions
    – Salt and Pepper to taste

    Directions:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
    2. In a 10\” cast iron skillet (or small casserole dish), evenly spread the lean ground beef and season with salt and pepper for added flavor.
    3. Sprinkle the diced onions over the beef layer to infuse rich aroma and taste.

     

    4. Layer the sliced potatoes evenly atop the beef and onions for hearty goodness in every bite.
    5. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese generously over the potatoes, ensuring creamy, cheesy bliss.
    6. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of potato soup, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and Creole seasoning until the flavors meld harmoniously.
    7. Pour the luscious soup mixture over the cheese layer, ensuring even distribution for a symphony of flavors.

     

    8. Cover the skillet with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1-½ hours to allow the flavors to meld and the ingredients to cook to perfection.
    9. Remove the casserole from the oven, unveil its savory essence by removing the foil, and sprinkle the crispy fried onions over the top for a delightful crunch.

     

    10. Elevate the dish by placing the skillet under a broiler for a few minutes, allowing the onions to turn golden brown and imparting a tantalizing aroma.
    11. Serve piping hot, savoring the layers of flavor and warmth.
