Ingredients:
For the Sloppy Joes:
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 cup pizza sauce
– 1/2 cup diced pepperoni
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 4 hamburger buns
For Serving:
– Additional shredded mozzarella cheese
– Additional pizza sauce
– Sliced pepperoni
Directions:
1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
2. Add Flavors: Stir in the pizza sauce, diced pepperoni, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
3. Combine: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the meat mixture and stir until the cheese is melted and well combined.
4. Assemble the Sloppy Joes: Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns. Top with additional mozzarella, a spoonful of pizza sauce, and a few slices of pepperoni. Place the top half of the bun on top.
