    Gourmet Surf and Turf Tacos with Steak and Shrimp

    The ultimate restaurant-style tacos made easy at home! Juicy grilled steak meets buttery garlic shrimp, all wrapped in warm tortillas and drizzled with a creamy chipotle sauce the perfect balance of smoky, spicy, and savory flavors.

    Ingredients:

    For the Steak:
    1 lb flank or skirt steak
    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tsp smoked paprika
    1 tsp garlic powder
    ½ tsp ground cumin
    Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    For the Shrimp:
    1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    2 tbsp unsalted butter
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
    ½ tsp paprika
    ½ tsp chili powder
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    For the Tacos:
    8 small corn tortillas
    1 cup shredded cheese (Mexican blend or cheddar)
    ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
    ½ cup chipotle sauce (or your favorite spicy sauce)
    Lime wedges, for serving
    For the Dipping Sauce:
    ½ cup sour cream
    2 tbsp mayonnaise
    1 tbsp lime juice
    1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
    ¼ tsp chipotle chili powder (optional for heat)
    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Instructions:

    Mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub over the steak until evenly coated.
    Grill on medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side or until your preferred doneness. Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain for tenderness.

    Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
    Toss in the shrimp with paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Sear 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice for freshness.

    Heat corn tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side until warm and lightly charred.

    Layer sliced steak and shrimp over each tortilla, sprinkle with cheese and cilantro, and drizzle with chipotle sauce.
    Serve with lime wedges and the creamy dipping sauce on the side.
