Crispy Cajun Fish Tacos with Creamy Lime Slaw

A flavor-packed seafood dinner with bold Cajun spice, golden crispy fish, and a refreshing cabbage slaw perfect for Taco Tuesday or a weeknight fiesta!

Ingredients for Cajun Fish Tacos:

1 lb white fish fillets (like cod or tilapia)

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cornmeal

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup buttermilk

8 small corn tortillas

2 cups shredded cabbage (for slaw)

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Dip each fish fillet in buttermilk, then dredge in the spiced flour mixture until fully coated.

4. Place the coated fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

5. While baking, prepare the slaw: mix shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl until creamy and well combined.

6. Warm corn tortillas on a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side.

7. Assemble tacos: layer crispy Cajun fish, a scoop of creamy lime slaw, and top with chopped cilantro.

8. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges and hot sauce if desired!
