    Ingredients:

    2 pounds ground beef

    1 cup breadcrumbs

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    1/4 cup milk

    2 eggs

    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    2 large onions, thinly sliced

    2 tablespoons butter

    1 cup beef broth

    8 slices Swiss cheese

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.

    2. Shape the Meatloaf: Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it directly into the crockpot.

    3. Caramelize the Onions: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally. This should take about 20-25 minutes for that rich, golden brown color.

    4. Add Beef Broth: Pour the beef broth into the skillet with the onions and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated. Then, pour the caramelized onion mixture over the meatloaf in the crockpot.

    5. Slow Cook: Set your crockpot on low and cook the French onion meatloaf for 6-8 hours, or until the meatloaf is thoroughly cooked.

    6. Melt the Swiss Cheese: About 10 minutes before serving, top the meatloaf with Swiss cheese slices. Close the crockpot lid to allow the cheese to melt into gooey perfection.

    7. Serve and Enjoy: Slice and serve your Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf hot, with the melted Swiss cheese oozing over the top for a satisfying, cheesy finish.
