    Ultimate Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake Recipe

     

    This Boston Cream Pie Cheesecake is a dreamy combination of two classic desserts. Featuring a soft yellow cake base, a creamy cheesecake layer, and silky pastry cream, it’s finished with a rich chocolate ganache for the ultimate indulgence. Perfect for celebrations, this show-stopping treat is as delicious as it is beautiful. With its decadent layers, it’s sure to impress family and friends.     Ingredients:

    For the Cake Layer:

    1 box yellow cake mix (use half of the prepared batter as directed)

    For the Cheesecake Layer:

    4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

    1 cup sugar

    ½ cup cornstarch

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2 large eggs

    1 cup heavy whipping cream

    For the Pastry Cream:

    1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

    1 pint heavy cream

    ½ cup milk

    For the Chocolate Ganache Drip:

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter

    2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

    2 tablespoons milk

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2 teaspoons corn syrup

    1 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted

    Optional Garnishes:

    Mini chocolate chips

    Extra pastry cream

    Instructions:

    Step 1: Prepare the Cake Layer

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

    2. Pour half of the prepared yellow cake batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan.

    3. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until set. Cool on a wire rack.

    Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Batter

    1. Beat one package of cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and cornstarch on low speed until creamy (about 3 minutes).

    2. Gradually add the rest of the cream cheese and sugar. Mix in vanilla extract.

    3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

    4. Blend in heavy whipping cream until smooth.

    Step 3: Assemble the Cheesecake

    1. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled cake layer.

    2. Wrap the pan in foil and place in a larger baking dish filled with hot water (1 inch up the sides).

    3. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the center jiggles slightly.

    Step 4: Cool the Cheesecake

    1. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool for 30 minutes with the door ajar.

    2. Bring to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

    Step 5: Prepare the Pastry Cream

    1. In a bowl, beat the pudding mix, heavy cream, and milk on high speed until thick.

    Step 6: Layer the Pastry Cream

    1. Remove the springform pan’s side and spread the pastry cream over the chilled cheesecake.

    2. Refrigerate to set.

    Step 7: Make the Chocolate Ganache Drip

    1. Melt butter, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla in a small saucepan over medium heat.

    2. Reduce to low and whisk in chopped chocolate until melted.

    3. Remove from heat and mix in confectioners’ sugar until smooth.

    Step 8: Drizzle the Chocolate

    1. Drizzle the warm ganache over the cheesecake, allowing it to drip down the sides.

    2. Chill until set.

    Step 9: Garnish

    1. Add extra pastry cream or mini chocolate chips for an elegant touch!
