    Texas Trash Dip Recipe

Looking for the ultimate party dip? This Texas Trash Dip combines seasoned ground beef, creamy cheeses, and zesty Rotel tomatoes for a bold, irresistible flavor. Perfect for game days or gatherings, it’s baked to bubbly perfection and served with crunchy tortilla chips. Easy to make and packed with Tex-Mex goodness, it’s guaranteed to be a crowd favorite. Add this cheesy, hearty appetizer to your menu and watch it disappear in no time!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb ground beef

1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix

    8 oz cream cheese, softened

    1/2 cup sour cream

    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or a cheese blend)

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional)

    Tortilla chips, for serving

    Instructions:

    1. Cook the Ground Beef:

Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled (about 5-7 minutes).

    Drain any excess fat.

Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water (or follow the packet instructions). Stir and let it simmer until well blended.

    2. Prepare the Creamy Base:

In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.

    3. Combine Ingredients:

Mix the ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes into the cream cheese mixture. Stir until evenly combined.

    4. Bake the Dip:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish (9×9-inch works great).

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is golden on top.

    5. Serve and Enjoy:

Garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of freshness (optional).

Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

    Pro Tips:

Want to spice it up? Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce for extra heat!

For a smoky twist, use smoked cheese varieties.
