Texas Trash Dip is the perfect party appetizer, combining creamy cream cheese, tangy sour cream, and hearty refried beans. Topped with a blend of Mexican blend cheese and Pepper Jack cheese, it’s a flavorful dip that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. With a hint of taco seasoning and zesty green chilies, this warm dip is ideal for game days or family gatherings. Garnish with fresh cilantro, green onions, and jalapeño slices for extra flavor. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers for the ultimate snack experience!

    Ingredients:

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

    1 cup sour cream

1 (16 oz) can refried beans

1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning mix

2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided

1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese

1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies, drained

Optional toppings: sliced green onions, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, jalapeño slices

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or similar-sized baking dish.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, and taco seasoning mix. Mix until smooth and well-blended.

    3. Stir in 1 cup of the Mexican blend cheese, all the Pepper Jack cheese, and the diced green chilies. Mix thoroughly.

    4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

    5. Top with the remaining 1 cup of Mexican blend cheese.

    6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted.
