The Ultimate Comfort Food for Busy Days

    Ingredients:

    2 pounds ground beef

    1 large onion, diced

    4 garlic cloves, minced

Three 15-ounce cans of tomato sauce

Two 14½-ounce cans of diced tomatoes (with juice)

    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    2 teaspoons kosher salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

    2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

    3 bay leaves

    2 cups elbow pasta

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

    Directions:

    1. Brown the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned (about 5 minutes).

    2. Combine Ingredients: Transfer the cooked beef to your slow cooker. Add diced onions, minced garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes (with juice), Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves.

    3. Cook Low and Slow: Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.

    4. Prepare the Pasta: Just before the goulash is done, cook the elbow pasta according to package instructions.

    5. Mix and Serve: Stir the cooked pasta into the goulash. Serve hot, topped with shredded sharp cheddar cheese for an irresistible finish.
