    Slow Cooker Creamy Steak Recipe with Chive-Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

    This slow cooker creamy steak recipe is the ultimate comfort food, featuring tender steak cooked in a rich, flavorful sauce with Worcestershire, garlic, and paprika. The addition of hearty vegetables like mushrooms, capsicum, and onions makes it a wholesome and satisfying meal. Perfectly paired with chive and Parmesan mashed potatoes, this dish is a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Easy to prepare with simple ingredients, it’s a recipe you’ll want to cook again and again. Its melt-in-your-mouth texture and savory flavors will leave everyone licking their plates clean!

     

    Ingredients:

    6 pieces of steak (any cut of your choice)

    1 large onion, chopped

    1 large red capsicum (bell pepper), chopped

    3 shallots, chopped

    5 large mushrooms, chopped into big chunks

    1 cup Worcestershire sauce (reduce to 2/3 cup for a milder flavor)

    1/2 cup tomato sauce

    1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

    2 cloves garlic, crushed

    300ml thickened cream

    1 tablespoon paprika

    1/2 cup water (optional, omit for thicker sauce)

     

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Steak: Lay your steaks flat in the slow cooker, ensuring they cover the base evenly.

    2. Make the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped veggies, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, cracked pepper, crushed garlic, thickened cream, paprika, and water (if desired). Mix well.

    3. Combine: Pour the mixture evenly over the steaks in the slow cooker.

    4. Cook to Perfection:

    Set to high and cook for 1 hour.

    Reduce to low and continue cooking for 5 hours.

     

    5. Thicken the Sauce:

    For a thicker sauce, remove the lid for the last 30 minutes of cooking. Alternatively, use the tea towel trick and a cornstarch slurry to achieve the perfect consistency.

     

    6. Serve: Plate your creamy steak alongside a generous serving of chive and Parmesan mashed potatoes.

     

    Tips for Success:

    Use cubed chuck steak (1kg) for an extra tender result.

    Adjust the Worcestershire sauce to your taste.

    This recipe is versatile add more vegetables like carrots or zucchini for extra flavor.
