    Juicy Meatballs in a Creamy Mushroom Sauce

     

    These juicy meatballs in a rich mushroom sauce are a comforting dish perfect for family dinners. Made with tender ground beef, seasoned to perfection, and simmered in a velvety mushroom gravy, every bite is packed with flavor. The creamy sauce, infused with garlic, onions, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, elevates the meatballs to new heights. Ideal for pairing with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, this hearty meal is sure to satisfy your taste buds. A simple, yet indulgent dinner option for any night of the week!

    Ingredients:

    1 lb ground beef

    1/3 cup breadcrumbs

    1/4 cup milk

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    1/2 tsp onion powder

    Salt and pepper to taste

    1 egg

    2 tbsp olive oil

    1 tbsp butter

    8 oz mushrooms, sliced

    1 onion, diced

    2 cups beef broth

    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    1 tsp Dijon mustard

    2 tbsp flour

    Instructions:

    Prep the Meatballs:
    In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Blend until evenly combined. Shape into bite-sized meatballs for easy cooking.

    Brown the Meatballs:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs until golden brown on all sides. Set them aside to retain juiciness.

    Cook the Mushrooms & Onions:
    In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté sliced mushrooms and diced onions until soft and fragrant, adding layers of flavor.

    Make the Gravy:
    Sprinkle flour over the mushroom-onion mixture. Stir and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Whisk constantly until the sauce thickens to a velvety consistency.

    Simmer the Meatballs:
    Return the meatballs to the skillet. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes or until fully cooked.

    Taste & Serve:
    Season the sauce with salt and pepper as needed. Serve these savory meatballs over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a comforting family meal.
