Ingredients:

8 slices thick-cut bread (Texas toast, sourdough, or your favorite hearty bread)

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2–3 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or parsley, oregano, basil blend)

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Olive oil, for brushing

Salt & black pepper, to taste

1–2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

Green leaf lettuce or Romaine lettuce

Mayonnaise, for spreading

Optional add-ins: sliced cheddar, provolone, or Swiss cheese; sliced avocado for extra creaminess

 

Directions:

1. Make the Garlic Butter:

In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, Italian herbs, and optional red pepper flakes. Set aside.

2. Prepare and Grill the Chicken:

Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.
