    Garlic Butter Tomato & Grilled Chicken Sandwich Recipe

    Looking for the ultimate grilled chicken sandwich recipe? This Garlic Butter Tomato & Grilled Chicken Sandwich is packed with bold flavors! Juicy grilled chicken, fresh tomato slices, crisp lettuce, and a rich garlic herb butter come together in this easy lunch sandwich. Perfect for quick dinners or hearty lunch ideas, this sandwich delivers comfort food satisfaction in every bite.

     

    Ingredients:

    8 slices thick-cut bread (Texas toast, sourdough, or your favorite hearty bread)

    ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

    2–3 garlic cloves, finely minced

    1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or parsley, oregano, basil blend)

    ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

    2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

    Olive oil, for brushing

    Salt & black pepper, to taste

    1–2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

    Green leaf lettuce or Romaine lettuce

    Mayonnaise, for spreading

    Optional add-ins: sliced cheddar, provolone, or Swiss cheese; sliced avocado for extra creaminess

     

    Directions:

    1. Make the Garlic Butter:

    In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, Italian herbs, and optional red pepper flakes. Set aside.

    2. Prepare and Grill the Chicken:

    Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.
    Grill over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes per side, until cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from heat, let rest, then slice.

    3. Toast the Bread:

    Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. Grill or toast the bread, butter-side down, until crispy and golden brown.

    4. Assemble Your Sandwich:

    Spread mayonnaise on the unbuttered side of each toasted bread slice.
    Layer sliced grilled chicken, juicy tomato slices, fresh lettuce, and optional cheese or avocado.

    5. Serve:

    Top with the remaining bread slices, cut in half, and serve warm. Enjoy every garlicky, buttery, grilled chicken bite!
