    Garlic Butter Mushrooms Recipe with Fresh Herbs

    Ingredients

    4 tablespoons unsalted butter

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    ½ onion, chopped (optional)

    1 pound cremini mushrooms or button mushrooms

    2 tablespoons dry white wine (optional)

    1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped

    2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

    4 cloves garlic, minced

    Salt, to taste

    Pepper, to taste

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the Pan
    Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    2. Cook the Onion
    Add the chopped onion (if using) and sauté for about 3 minutes until softened.

    3. Sauté the Mushrooms
    Toss in the mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden brown and crispy on the edges.

    4. Add Wine for Depth
    Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly. This step is optional but adds a delightful flavor.

    5. Incorporate Herbs and Garlic
    Stir in the thyme, 1 tablespoon of parsley, and minced garlic. Cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.

    6. Season to Perfection
    Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.

    7. Garnish and Serve
    Sprinkle the remaining parsley over the mushrooms and serve warm as a side dish or appetizer.

    Use fresh herbs for maximum flavor.
