Ingredients:

2 (15 oz) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup

Drain one can, but keep the syrup from the second

¼ cup brown sugar

1 tsp cornstarch

½ tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for topping)

1 box yellow cake mix (dry)

1 stick (½ cup) salted butter, sliced

Non-stick spray (or use a crockpot liner)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your crockpot: Spray the bottom and sides with non-stick spray or use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Make the peach filling: In the crockpot, combine the sliced peaches (with syrup from one can), brown sugar, cornstarch, and ½ tsp cinnamon. Stir to mix evenly.
  3. Add cake topping: Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peach mixture. Gently pat down the top do not mix!
  4. Cinnamon & butter magic: Sprinkle more cinnamon to taste over the cake mix. Layer butter slices evenly over the top.
  5. Cook it low & slow: Cover with the lid (do NOT remove it during baking). Cook on HIGH for 2.5 hours, until golden, bubbly, and delicious!
