    Easy Amish Cinnamon Bread

    Easy Amish Cinnamon Bread

    Ingredients:

    – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    – 1 large egg
    – 1 cup granulated sugar
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    – 1 cup buttermilk
    – 2 cups all-purpose flour
    – 1 teaspoon baking soda
    – 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, egg, and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and fluffy.

    3. Add the vanilla extract, buttermilk, flour, and baking soda to the creamed mixture. Stir until well combined and no lumps remain.

    4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

    5. In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/3 cup of sugar and ground cinnamon.

    6. Sprinkle about 3/4 of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter in the loaf pan.

    7. With a butter knife, gently swirl the cinnamon sugar mixture into the batter.

    8. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon sugar layer, smoothing the top.

    9. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter in the loaf pan.

    10. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    11. Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

    12. Slice and enjoy this delightful Amish cinnamon bread for breakfast, as a snack, or even as a dessert!

    Notes:

    – If you don’t have buttermilk on hand, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
    – The cinnamon sugar swirl adds a delicious sweetness and warmth to every bite, making this bread perfect for any time of day.
