    Delicious Chicken Chow Mein Recipe

    This Chicken Chow Mein is a crowd-pleaser, bursting with savory flavors and perfect for a quick and tasty dinner!

    Ingredients for Chicken Chow Mein:

    – 1 lb chicken breasts, thinly sliced
    – 2 cups crispy chow mein noodles
    – 1 cup cabbage, shredded
    – 1 cup carrots, julienned
    – 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
    – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 1 tablespoon ginger, minced

    For the Sauce:
    – 1/4 cup soy sauce
    – 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    – 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
    – 1 teaspoon sesame oil
    – 1 tablespoon sugar
    – 1/2 cup chicken broth
    – 1 teaspoon cornstarch

    Directions for Making Chicken Chow Mein:

    1. Prepare the Sauce:
    – In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, chicken broth, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.

    2. Cook the Chicken:
    – Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    – Add the thinly sliced chicken breasts and stir-fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

    3. Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
    – In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if necessary. Add shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, and half of the chopped green onions. Stir-fry until the vegetables are just tender, about 3-4 minutes.

    4. Combine and Finish:
    – Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the top and stir to combine.
    – Add the crispy chow mein noodles and toss everything together until well coated and heated through. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    5. Serve:
    – Garnish with the remaining green onions. Serve hot.
