    Crispy Salt and Pepper Shrimp Recipe

    Enjoy crispy, golden, and flavorful shrimp with this easy salt and pepper shrimp recipe! Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party favorite. Serve hot for a crunchy, spicy, and savory seafood delight.

    Cook Time: 10–12 min
    Servings: 2–3
    Calories: ~280 kcal per serving

     

    Ingredients:

    1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

    2 eggs

    3 tbsp cornstarch

    1 tbsp light soy sauce

    1 tbsp oyster sauce

    1 tsp salt

    ½ tsp black pepper

    Chili powder, to taste

     

    Instructions:

    1. Marinate the Shrimp:
    In a medium bowl, combine 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp black pepper. Add the shrimp and mix well. Let it marinate for 20 minutes to enhance flavor.

    2. Prepare the Batter:
    In another bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, 3 tbsp cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper until smooth.

    3. Coat the Shrimp:
    Dip each marinated shrimp into the batter, making sure it’s evenly coated.

    4. Deep Fry to Perfection:

    Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer.

    Fry shrimp once until lightly golden, then fry again until crispy and golden brown for the perfect crunch.

     

    5. Season & Serve:
    Sprinkle chili powder, salt, and pepper over the hot shrimp. Serve immediately as a delicious crispy salt and pepper shrimp appetizer!

     

    Tips for Perfect Crispy Shrimp

    Double frying gives the shrimp a super crunchy texture.

    Adjust chili powder for mild or extra spicy flavor.

    Serve with soy sauce or sweet chili dipping sauce for extra flavor.
