Looking for a bold, tangy twist on classic buffalo wings? These Buffalo Lemon Pepper Wings pack the perfect punch of spicy heat and citrus zing! Whether you’re cooking in the air fryer or baking in the oven, this easy chicken wing recipe is loaded with flavor and sure to impress. Ideal for game day, parties, or weeknight dinners!

Ingredients for Buffalo Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings:

    Wings:

1 lb chicken wing pieces (flats & drumettes)

2 tbsp lemon garlic seasoning (for that bright, savory kick)

    1 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil)

    Buffalo Wing Sauce:

3/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce (classic for spicy buffalo flavor)

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (adds tang)

2 tbsp ghee (or butter, for creamy richness)

    To Serve:

Juice of 1/2 a fresh lemon (for that finishing citrus squeeze)

Instructions Air Fryer & Oven Chicken Wings

    1. Prep the Wings:

Pat chicken wings dry with a paper towel.

Toss wings in a bowl with lemon garlic seasoning, pepper, and avocado oil until evenly coated.

    1. Cook the Wings:

    Air Fryer Chicken Wings:

    Preheat air fryer to 360°F.

Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cook for 14 minutes, flipping halfway.

Increase temperature to 400°F and cook an additional 4-5 minutes for that irresistible crispy texture.

    Oven-Baked Chicken Wings:

    Preheat oven to 425°F.

Arrange wings on a foil-lined baking sheet, spaced apart for even crisping.

Bake for 10 minutes, flip, and bake another 10 minutes.

    1. Make the Buffalo Sauce:

In a small saucepan, combine Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, apple cider vinegar, and ghee.

Heat over medium-low until it simmers, then turn off the heat.

    1. Toss and Serve:

Toss hot wings in the buffalo sauce until well coated.

If oven-baked, return wings to the oven for 5 more minutes to set the sauce.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over wings just before serving.

Perfect for Game Day, Parties, or Anytime Cravings!

These buffalo lemon pepper chicken wings are the ultimate crowd-pleaser. Crispy, juicy, spicy, and citrusy they’re everything you want in a wing!
