    Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Linguine Recipe

     

    Enjoy the ultimate creamy chicken and mushroom linguine a rich, flavorful pasta dish made with tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and a silky Parmesan cream sauce. This easy creamy chicken pasta recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy weekends when you crave pure comfort food!

    Ingredients:

    12 oz linguine (or fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti)
    2 tbsp olive oil
    2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized strips
    Salt and black pepper, to taste
    2 tbsp unsalted butter
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    8 oz mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
    1 tsp dried thyme (or 2 tsp fresh thyme)
    1 cup chicken broth
    1 cup heavy cream
    ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Directions:

    Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Drain, saving ½ cup pasta water to help blend the sauce later.

    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

    Melt butter in the same skillet. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for 5–6 minutes until soft and fragrant.

    Stir in thyme and pour in chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes to let the flavors blend and reduce slightly.

    Lower heat. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes if desired.

    Return chicken and pasta to the skillet. Toss well to coat in sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.

    Top with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy your creamy chicken mushroom pasta!
