    Creamy Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

    If you’re looking for the ultimate cheesy comfort food with a healthy twist, this creamy avocado grilled cheese sandwich is the perfect choice! Crispy golden bread, melty mozzarella and cheddar, and smooth mashed avocado make this easy lunch recipe both satisfying and delicious. It’s a quick vegetarian sandwich idea that’s ready in just 20 minutes perfect for busy weeknights, lunches, or when those grilled cheese cravings hit.

     

    Ingredients:

    4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or multigrain)

    1 ripe avocado

    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    2 tablespoons butter, softened

    1 tablespoon mayonnaise

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

    Salt & black pepper, to taste

    1/4 cup fresh basil leaves (optional, for a fresh herby flavor )

     

    Directions:

    1. In a bowl, mash the ripe avocado until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    2. Combine mozzarella and cheddar in a separate bowl.

    3. Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the other side of two slices.

    4. Place the mayo-side down slices in a preheated skillet over medium heat. Spread the mashed avocado evenly, sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder, then top with the cheese mixture and optional basil leaves.

    5. Place the remaining bread slices on top (butter side up). Grill each side for 3–4 minutes until the bread is crispy and the cheese is gooey and melted.

    6. Let cool slightly before slicing in half. Serve warm for the best cheesy, creamy bite!
