Cheesy Beef Pie
INGREDIENTS
– 1 large onion, finely chopped
– 1 pound ground beef
– ½ teaspoon salt
– Ground black pepper, to taste
– Optional: Garlic powder, to taste
– 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
– ½ cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup whole milk
– 2 large eggs
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish with vegetable oil.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion until softened, about 3 minutes.
3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, around 10 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
4. Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture into the prepared pie dish. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour the batter over the beef and cheese layers.
6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until set and golden brown.
7. Serve warm and enjoy!
