    This Banana Cake recipe is a delightful blend of moist banana flavor and rich cream cheese frosting.

    With simple ingredients like ripe bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract, it delivers a soft and flavorful cake that’s perfect for any occasion.

    The cream cheese frosting adds a creamy, sweet touch that complements the cake’s natural banana sweetness.

    Banana Cake Recipe

    Ingredients:

    For the Cake:
    – 3 ripe bananas, mashed
    – 2 cups all-purpose flour
    – 1 teaspoon baking soda
    – 1/4 teaspoon salt
    – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    – 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    – 2 large eggs
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    – 1/2 cup buttermilk

    For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
    – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    – 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    – 4 cups powdered sugar
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions:

    1-Preheat Oven:
    – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.

    2-Prepare Dry Ingredients:
    – In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

    3-Mix Wet Ingredients:
    – In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
    – Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.

    4-Combine Mixtures:
    – Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.

    5-Bake the Cake:
    – Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
    – Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
    – Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

    6-Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting:
    – In a medium bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    – Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable.

    7-Frost and Serve:
    – Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.
    – Cut the cake into squares and serve.
