Creamy Vegan Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Looking for a healthy yet indulgent dessert? This Vegan Chocolate Avocado Mousse is rich, silky, and completely dairy-free! Made with ripe avocado, cacao powder, and whipped aquafaba (the liquid from chickpeas), this dessert is light, airy, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup. It’s the perfect plant-based chocolate mousse recipe for vegans, gluten-free eaters, or anyone who loves guilt-free sweets.

Ingredients:

1 ripe avocado
1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or agave nectar)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup aquafaba (liquid from canned chickpeas)

Instructions:

Whip the aquafaba
Pour the chickpea liquid into a bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat until stiff peaks form (about 5–8 minutes). This creates the light, airy texture of mousse.
Blend the chocolate base
In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Fold everything together
Gently fold the whipped aquafaba into the chocolate mixture in two parts. Be careful not to overmix or deflate the mousse.
Chill and serve
Spoon into serving glasses or jars. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before enjoying.

Tips & Variations:

Top with fresh berries, shredded coconut, or shaved dark chocolate.
Use agave syrup or date syrup instead of maple syrup for a twist.
Perfect for a vegan dinner party, Valentine’s dessert, or a healthy sweet treat anytime.

Indulge guilt-free with this Vegan Chocolate Avocado Mousse recipe! Made with creamy avocado, cacao, and aquafaba, it’s a light, fluffy, dairy-free dessert that’s rich, healthy, and absolutely delicious.
