Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Casserole
Start your day with this hearty and satisfying Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Casserole a family favorite loaded with fluffy eggs, melted cheese, savory sausage, and golden baked bread. Perfect for meal prep, brunch gatherings, or holiday mornings!
Ingredients:
1 lb breakfast sausage, browned and crumbled
6 large eggs
2 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cups day-old bread, cubed
Fresh or dried parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
2. In a skillet, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Layer cubed bread in the prepared dish. Sprinkle cooked sausage and shredded cheese on top.
5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything. Gently press down to soak the bread.
6. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes or until golden and center is set.
7. Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
