Ingredients:
1 head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch thick rounds
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup tomato sauce (or keto-friendly ketchup)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella, Monterey Jack your choice), divided
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional for a kick)
1 tsp grated garlic
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the cabbage slices on a lined baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
2. Roast cabbage for 10 minutes until slightly tender and edges start to crisp.
3. In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic, chili flakes, green onions, parsley, salt, pepper, and half the shredded cheese. Shape into 4 equal burger patties.
4. Remove cabbage from oven. Spoon a little tomato sauce onto each slice, top with a beef patty, then sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
5. Return to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until beef is cooked through and cheese is bubbling.
6. Serve hot and enjoy a low-carb, keto-friendly burger that’s both nutritious and satisfying!
