These Cheese Stuffed Jalapeño Meatballs are the ultimate spicy, cheesy appetizer, perfect for any gathering. Made with ground beef or turkey, they’re packed with bold flavors from cumin, chili powder, and diced jalapeños. Each meatball has a hidden surprise of melty cheddar or mozzarella cheese inside. They’re easy to make in just 25 minutes and pair perfectly with dipping sauces like ranch or salsa. Ideal for game day, parties, or even a low-carb snack!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 cup diced jalapeños (seeds removed for less heat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 oz cheddar or mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, jalapeños, salt, and pepper. Ensure the mixture is evenly combined for the best flavor.
Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of cheddar or mozzarella cheese in the center, then wrap the meat around the cheese, forming a juicy meatball stuffed with gooey cheese.
Repeat the process until all meat and cheese are used.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the jalapeño meatballs, turning occasionally until they’re perfectly browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
Notes: For extra flavor, serve these cheesy, spicy meatballs with a dipping sauce like ranch or salsa. They’re perfect as an appetizer or main dish!
