    Zesty Mexican Shrimp Cocktail with Avocado

    Looking for the ultimate easy shrimp appetizer? This Mexican Shrimp Cocktail is a refreshing, tangy, and slightly spicy seafood dish perfect for summer parties, game day, or anytime you’re craving a light and flavorful meal. Bursting with fresh veggies, creamy avocado, and succulent shrimp, this recipe comes together quickly and delivers bold Mexican flavors!

     

    Ingredients:

    1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined

    1 cup ketchup

    1/4 cup fresh lime juice

    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    1-2 tablespoons hot sauce (optional, to taste)

    1/2 cup diced cucumber

    1/2 cup diced red onion

    1/2 cup diced ripe avocado

    1/2 cup diced fresh tomato

    1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Lime wedges, for serving

    Tortilla chips or tostadas, for dipping

     

    Directions:

    1. In a large bowl, whisk together ketchup, fresh lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if desired) until well blended.

    2. Add the diced cucumber, red onion, avocado, tomato, and cilantro. Gently stir to combine all the fresh ingredients.

    3. Toss in the cooked shrimp and mix carefully until every piece is coated in the vibrant sauce.

    4. Season with salt and black pepper to your taste.

    5. Refrigerate the shrimp cocktail for at least 30 minutes to allow the bold flavors to meld beautifully.

    6. Serve chilled in individual cups or bowls, garnished with lime wedges. Pair with crispy tortilla chips or crunchy tostadas for the perfect bite!

     

    Recipe Tips:

    For extra heat, add jalapeño slices or a dash of chili powder.

    This versatile Mexican seafood recipe can also be served as a hearty salad.
