    White Cheese Chicken Lasagna Recipe

     

    White Cheese Chicken Lasagna Recipe

    Ingredients for White Cheese Chicken Lasagna:

    – 9 lasagna noodles
    – 1/2 cup butter
    – 1 onion, chopped
    – 1 clove garlic, minced
    – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    – 1 teaspoon salt
    – 2 cups chicken broth
    – 1 1/2 cups milk
    – 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
    – 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
    – 1 teaspoon dried basil
    – 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    – 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    – 2 cups ricotta cheese
    – 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
    – 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
    – 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

    Directions for White Cheese Chicken Lasagna:

    1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    2. Cook Lasagna Noodles: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.

    3. Prepare White Sauce:
    – In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    – Cook chopped onion and minced garlic in butter until tender, stirring frequently.
    – Stir in flour and salt, and simmer until bubbly.
    – Mix in chicken broth and milk, and boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
    – Stir in 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
    – Season with dried basil, dried oregano, and ground black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

    4. Assemble the Lasagna:
    – Spread 1/3 of the sauce mixture in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
    – Layer with 1/3 of the lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, and cubed cooked chicken.
    – Arrange another 1/3 of the noodles over the chicken, and top with another 1/3 of the sauce mixture.
    – Arrange the final 1/3 of the noodles over the sauce, and top with remaining sauce, chopped fresh spinach, and the rest of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
    – Sprinkle with remaining grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley.

    5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
