    Ultimate Triple Chocolate Layer Cake

    This Triple Chocolate Layer Cake is a dream come true for chocolate lovers! Soft, moist, and intensely fudgy, this bakery-style dessert combines a rich chocolate sponge, silky chocolate buttercream, and a final chocolate topping. Every bite melts in your mouth!

    Ingredients:

    1¾ cups all-purpose flour
    ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1¾ cups granulated sugar
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    2 eggs (room temperature)
    1 cup buttermilk
    ½ cup vegetable oil
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup hot coffee (or hot water)

    Instructions:

    Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease two 9-inch pans and line with parchment.
    Whisk together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
    Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla → mix until smooth.
    Pour in the hot coffee (batter will be thin perfect!).
    Divide into pans and bake 23–26 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool 10 minutes in the pans, then let cool completely on a wire rack.

    Silky Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:

    1¼ cups butter (room temperature)
    3½ cups powdered sugar
    ¾ cup cocoa powder
    3–5 tbsp heavy cream
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    Pinch of salt
    Frosting Instructions
    Beat butter for 2 minutes until creamy.
    Slowly add powdered sugar + cocoa powder.
    Add cream, vanilla, and salt → beat 3 minutes until fluffy.
    Adjust thickness with a little extra cream if needed.

    Cake Assembly:

    Place the first cake layer on a plate → spread a thick layer of buttercream.
    Add the second layer → frost the top and sides smoothly.
    Optional: decorate with chocolate chips, curls, or ganache for the full triple-chocolate effect.
