    Ultimate Chocolate Brigadeiro Layer Cake Recipe

    Ingredients:

    Chocolate Cake Layers
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups granulated sugar
    3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup hot water or hot coffee
    Dark Chocolate Brigadeiro Filling
    1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tbsp unsalted butter
    White Chocolate Brigadeiro Filling / Topping
    1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    1/2 cup white chocolate chips
    2 tbsp unsalted butter
    Decoration
    Chocolate sprinkles
    Brigadeiro balls (optional)

    Directions:

    Make the Chocolate Cake
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease & flour two 9-inch round pans or a 9×13 pan.
    Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
    Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
    Stir in hot water or hot coffee — the batter will be thin; this is normal.
    Pour into pans and bake:
    30–35 min for round pans
    35–40 min for a 9×13 pan
    Cool completely, then slice into layers.

    Dark Chocolate Brigadeiro Filling
    In a saucepan, combine condensed milk, cocoa, and butter.
    Cook on medium-low, stirring constantly, until thick and pulling away from the sides (about 10–15 min).
    Let cool completely.

    White Chocolate Brigadeiro Filling / Topping
    In another saucepan, heat condensed milk and butter over medium-low.
    Stir until slightly thickened.
    Remove from heat and add white chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
    Cool completely.

    Assemble the Brigadeiro Cake
    Place the first cake layer on your serving plate.
    Spread a thick layer of dark chocolate brigadeiro.
    Add the second layer and spread white chocolate brigadeiro.
    Add final layer and cover the top with more white chocolate brigadeiro.
    Decorate with chocolate sprinkles and brigadeiro balls.
