This easy baked gnocchi recipe is the ultimate comfort food! Fluffy potato gnocchi are tossed in a rich marinara tomato sauce, layered with gooey mozzarella cheese, savory Parmesan, and fresh basil, then baked until golden and bubbly. Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

500g (1 lb) potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
2 cups marinara sauce (tomato-based)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes for a little heat

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the gnocchi:
Bring salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi until they float (about 2–3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
3. Make the sauce:
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then stir in marinara sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (optional).
4. Combine gnocchi & sauce:
Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss until coated.
5. Assemble the bake:
Transfer gnocchi mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
6. Bake:
Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. For a golden crust, broil 1–2 minutes.
7. Garnish & serve:
Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve hot.
